Jobs

At Icefall, we’re all about being true to our roots. We started making virtual reality games out of pizza boxes, and after over a decade of raising a VR studio from the ground up, some things never change. Our people are our success, and we’re committed to finding the best talent from across industries, then cultivating a rich and balanced work environment where they can thrive.

Stability, inclusivity, collaboration, and the freedom to create are our studio pillars, and they’ve served us well. Our team has proved time and again that great ideas can come from any position in any discipline, so it’s important to us to make sure every voice is heard. Work/life balance is extremely important to us. We want people to be excited about coming to work every day, and to that end we offer opportunities for growth, professional development, and innovation. Through our internal BlackOps program, employees are encouraged to spearhead R&D initiatives, experiment, and push creative boundaries. In short, don’t expect to feel like a cog in a machine working at Icefall.

We are also deeply committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We believe that diverse teams make better games, and we actively encourage applications from women, Indigenous peoples, LGBTQ2S+ individuals, newcomers to Canada, and members of other systemically excluded groups. As we grow, we are building a leadership team that reflects these values and creates space for underrepresented voices in game development.

As a Nelson-based studio, we’re proud to be part of the Kootenays’ creative community. We work closely with Selkirk College, KAST, and the Nelson Innovation Centre to mentor new talent, host game jams, and grow the local tech sector. Whether you’re a seasoned developer or just starting your career, we want Icefall to be a place where you can do your best work, explore bold ideas, and help shape the future of VR.
